چکیده
Flooding is an important factor, decreasing Allium cepa bulb yield and quality. A comparison, in terms of biometrical biochemical parameters, five cultivars, grown at two different locations, characterized by contrasting conditions water availability, i.e., precipitation excess the end (A) or beginning (B) plant growth, revealed a significant decrease weight, height, diameter, increase oxidative stress such as total antioxidant activity polyphenol content, monosaccharides, proline, malonic dialdehyde condition excessive soil humidity vegetation period (A). Among cultivars studied (Zolotnichok, Zolotie cupola, Black prince, Globus, Myachkovsky), lowest variations above parameters under cycle were recorded Zolotnichok which was accordance with their high adaptability. Cultivar Myachkovsky showed highest differences examined between B conditions. Outer scale demonstrated stability both regions. The participation polyphenols, defense against hypoxia, caused waterlogging, proved correlation coefficients inner (‘r’ from +0.714 to +0.920) latter −0.745 −0.924). High adaptability (Zolotie Zolotnichok, prince) significantly lower MDA inner/outer scales ratio lipids outer/inner compared moderate results provide information regarding peculiarities diverse humidity, should be considered future breeding activities onion genotypes,

Differences in antioxidant, morphological and biochemical responses to drought stress in different cultivars of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.)
Drought stress is the most common environmental stress that can significantly influence crop productivity. In this study, morphological and biochemical properties of 17 genotypes of common bean were evaluated under different levels of drought stress and the most sensitive and tolerant genotypes were identified using multivariate analysis. The results indicated that morphological and biochemical...
متن کاملYIELD AND STORABILITY OF ONION (Allium cepa L.) AS AFFECTED BY VARYING LEVELS OF IRRIGATION
Bulb yield and storability of onions (cv. BARI Piaj-1) was studied against five levels of irrigation viz., no irrigation, irrigation at 10, 15, 20, and 30 days interval. Yield and storage losses were increased gradually with increasing number of irrigation. The highest yield of onion was obtained with a total of six irrigations at 10 days interval and it was at par with treatment that received ...
متن کاملEffects of applying different herbicides dosages Oxyfluorfen and Trifluralin on morphological, economical and biological yield of garlic (Allium Sativum L.)
The present study evaluated the effects of different dosages herbicides Oxyfluorfen and Trifluralin on crop properties of garlic, including plant height, number of cloves per bulbs as well as economical and biological yield of garlic. In this research, a randomized complete block design, with seven treatments and three replications, along with a control sample (weeding and no weed control), was...
متن کاملBiochemical and genetic analysis of carbohydrate accumulation in Allium cepa L.
Onion and shallot (Allium cepa L.) exhibit wide variation in bulb fructan content, and the Frc locus on chromosome 8 conditions much of this variation. To understand the biochemical basis of Frc, we conducted biochemical and genetic analyses of Allium fistulosum (FF)-shallot (A. cepa Aggregatum group) alien monosomic addition lines (AALs; FF+1A-FF+8A) and onion mapping populations. Sucrose and ...
